Inquiry

"This is an increasingly noisy era, people shout at each other in print, at work, on TV. I believe the volume is directly related to our need to be listened to. In public places, in the media, we reward the loudest and most outrageous. Things will only get louder until we figure out how to sit down and listen. Most of us would welcome things quieting down."
Margaret Wheatley, Listening

A Wisdom Meme Inquiry is an 'oasis of calm' where people listen deeply with respect and share their knowledge and experience in a spirit of expanding the collective wisdom.

Inquiry is not a workshop, presentation, discussion or debate but a dialogue designed to bring new insights to the growing complexity that our organisations face.

Our Inquiry Process
We have developed an Inquiry Process that has a good balance of philosophy and pragmatism that follows the following steps

  • introductions and sharing our present views about the topic
  • exploring one or two key questions about the topic in small groups and then feedback in the whole group
  • introduction of a challenging concept or framework from latest research or another culture to stimulate a deeper inquiry.

We promise you:

  • Brilliant and stimulating conversation on questions that matter to you
  • An 'oasis of calm'
  • A balance of philosophy and pragmatism
  • Openness, questioning and listening
  • New insights
  • Improved relationships
  • Shared understanding
  • A feeling of re-vitalisation
  • Greater clarity about how to move forward

All we ask is that participants bring their knowledge, experience and curiosity. We will bring a proven process and some new perspective to challenge the current thinking.

Where an Inquiry can Benefit

A monthly/bi-monthly 'An Inquiry into ..... Series' within your company looking into general topics and their specific application, for example How to Lead in the 21st Century, How to Create Commitment and Ownership, What's needed for High Performance Teams, What's needed to Develop an Innovative Culture, or questions that are relevant to you.

A one-off event that looks deeply into a current challenge your organisation is facing perhaps related to growth, costs, profits, new products, staff retention, outsourcing.

An addition to a board meeting, away day or conference where 'quietening down' might bring a new and appreciated energy as well as much needed insights.
